This drummer was finished in February 2022.
It took several months and was inspired by a statue I saw in Linlithgow in August 2021.

The piece is about 14 inches tall and created from a single piece of lime.
The face below was created from a piece of Spalted Beech gifted by a friend. The discoloration is caused a by fungi. which occurs in living trees under stress. This piece was part of a wind fallen tree on her farm.
