This composition was inspired by the work of Grinling Gibbons. It was very much a practice piece, created between September - December 2021. It was carved from a spine of red pine with attachments in lime which are secured with dowels. It took several months to produce, and there is still a lot of sanding and finishing to be done, but so far I'm pleased with the result.
